PS4 Pro Launch Day Support

Share it:
The PlayStation Pro is all but here and in a few short days. So what is the PS4 Pro going to bring to us on launch day and where does the support start and finish? Well read on ahead to find out.

PlayStation 4 Pro is what I would call a game changer in the way of console gaming. For years there has been what I used to call the "PC" master race because I simply could not afford the start up cost of PC gaming. The PS4 Pro will hopefully help bridge that gap (although personally I find that no matter how well a console can play a game, PC will always have that upper hand with the right hardware). PS4 Pro will be released on Thursday 10th of November here in Australia and for those of you like myself who are preparing to dive in on day one here is a list of which games will be supported at the time of release.

More than 45 games will optimised to support PS4 Pro features by the end of 2016, and from 2017 onwards, all first party titles will take full advantage of the PS4 Pro. Sony Interactive Entertainment Europe has also announced that Pro support will also be extending to upcoming third party titles including Watch Dogs 2 and Final Fantasy XV.

The Pro comes with a 1TB HDD (1TB, Sony are you kidding me?!) and will offer greater performance and detail through a higher powered CPU and GPU with resolutions up to 4K (keyword being up to) HDR (high dynamic range) and faster or probably a more accurate term "stable" frame rates.

So what does this mean for you? Well it means that we can get a much sharper, clearer and more colourful image for the price of the original PS4 at launch. But however to really take full advantage of the Pro you will need a 4K, HDR capable TV. So let's face it, if you don't already have a 4K HDR TV then you are going to be up for a little coin. So that leaves us with a burning question, is it worth it?
In my opinion it is pure and simple. YES. However as stated before if you do not own at least a 4K TV, preferably a 4K HDR TV then it would be quite an expensive upgrade. But for those who future proofed themselves at the time of purchasing a new TV then it should be well
worth a look in.

Hope this answers many of your questions and with a bit of luck I shall have more on the PS4 Pro in coming weeks.

Cheers for reading.
