Background Information:
In the main story of Sniper Ghost Warrior 3, the player takes on the role of Jonathan North, an American Marine dropped into the Republic of Georgia to accomplish a highly classified Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) mission. But, his personal mission is to find his kidnapped brother.

Standing in his way are enemy Separatists that are currently destabilizing the country. It’s up to Jon to accomplish his mission, discover the whereabouts of his brother and to take down any foes looking to stop him using the following sniper tactics:

Scope Calibration
Check the distance to your target and set the elevation on your scope accordingly to compensate for bullet drop. Be sure to check the wind indicator as well, because the wind influences whether the bullet will drift to the left or right. When all is set, exhale and take the shot.

Positioning
Take advantage of Jon’s surroundings to maximize his effectiveness in an area. Use the environment to reduce weapon sway while aiming. Crouching and lying down also reduces weapon sway. Sniper bullets are strong and can penetrate multiple targets if lined up correctly, and special sniper bullets can even penetrate walls and other barriers.

The Drone
Recon is critical to planning your mission prior to infiltration of an area. The drone can locate and mark enemies, sabotage objects and enemy devices. A simple flyover of the area can expose weak points in the enemy encampment allowing Jon to take out his enemies with deadly precision.

Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 is a story of brotherhood, patriotism, and betrayal in the most complete sniper experience ever released. Take the role of an American sniper named Jonathan North, who drops into enemy territory in northern Georgia as the country is dissolving into a bloody civil war. Explore large open-world maps with dynamic weather conditions, and a day and night cycle that impacts play and player decision-making. Customize weapons, equipment, accessories, vehicles, and a drone, and utilize the three pillars of gameplay to your liking: Sniper, Ghost, and Warrior.

Overview
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 won't be available until the 4th of April 2017, however for those that don't want to wait until the full game releases, you can try and get yourself into the Open BETA that commences on Friday the 3rd of February 2017. Sniper Ghost Warrior 2 was a marked improvement on the original, which wasn't really going to be too hard to accomplish. The sequel to the first game impressed fans of the series and made a big jump from its roots. Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 looks like it's going to go down that same path of opening up the game and making a leap forward in the game's playability.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 looks beautiful in its open world sandbox which gives players more opportunities than ever before to play the game how they want to play. The third entry in this series appears to be placing more concentration on the three play styles available to the player. Depending on how you like to play, or how good you are, you can tackle missions either as a Sniper: picking off your enemies from a distance while they freak out and try to find you. Ghost: sneaking around using silenced weapons and melee combat like Sam Fisher. Warrior: Whether you just prefer all out combat, explosions and shoot outs, or you just stuffed up and got caught, you can competently duke it out full on Call of Duty style if you really want to, or need to.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 appears in its early stages to be quite competent at all three of these play styles. Sometimes it's a treat to use all three at different parts of your missions. Now it's not all peaches and cream. Being that this game is not complete and that it's still in the testing phase, the BETA does come with its fair share of bugs and annoyances. Most notable, and the most annoying would have to be the strange rubber banding effected that is given to movement and other things within the world. The game has been running at a variable frame rate between 40-60 frames per second without any serious frame dips or spike. I was unable to work out what was causing the rubber banding issue.
During my time so far with the Open BETA I have experienced some crashes which took me straight to the desktop, but that was early on in my play. Most of my sessions were lengthy and uninterrupted. Other bugs also need to be looked at such as if you're holding the accelerator to a vehicle as the animation plays out of getting into the driver's seat, the car will just rev loud without going anywhere until you release the accelerator and press it again.
Mostly, the AI shows off some intelligent patterns and it's quite easy to get spotted unlike other games which give you a little too much rope. The BETA gives you access to two missions which I'll detail below.

Mission 1: Blockout
This mission introduced me to the game play with some real opportunities for sniping. Your character Jon's cooperation with the local resistance, the Rotki Lions, has given him the location of one of the targets from his Most Wanted list. The target in this mission is Ivan Krustchev. That's a guy that obviously needs a bullet round to the head. You'll find him on your map in a derelict apartment building, with quite a few guards littering the court yard. Sneak inside and take him out, snipe him from the building opposite or just run in and shoot everything that moves. Whatever works for you is good enough here.
Mission 2: Cut Off
Now this mission ramps up the difficulty quite a bit and can get you into quite a bit of hot water. To put it simply, you need to infiltrate a large antenna array and reposition the satellites. It sounds easy, but there are a plethora of enemies littered everywhere. Even though your character Jon has a cool drone like you have in Watch Dogs 2, you won't be doing anything remote with it other than recon. Repositioning the satellites will give you a tactical advantage for further in the full game.
Sniper Ghost Warrior 3 will launch on PC, PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system and Xbox One on April 4, 2017
